It was bound to happen…went through my files and realized I have not painted a pom. So… how could I resist with such a prefect model right under my feet (yep, I mean that literally). After completing the painting I brought it into PS and created a Pop Art Poster…just for color and fun. Digitally Painting Animals classes start up again in July. Gift certificates available for Fathers Day!

Hi Dee,
I really love your thoughts on dogs and dog training. We owned small rescue dogs for many, many, years, up until October of 2007 when we had to put our rescued, 17 year old Cairn to sleep. We’re in kind of a dogless limbo at the moment, not quite certain if we want to do this again after owning numerous animals over a period of 30+ years, but we still miss the sound of claws clicking on the floor and the quizzical snuffle after spending 30 minutes plus on the computer. There is no longer anyone to remind either of us that perhaps we have been sitting too long and it’s time to go outside, if for no other reason than just to smell the air and bark at the birds.

Thank You Nightshadow.
Yes, the loss of a beloved furry friend….we really never get over it….do we!
Last few years I have lost several…cancer. it seemed one right after the other…the dangers of having rescued all about the same age. The last was my Phoenix….last July….for me it takes about year for the pain to subside. I have slowly built my strength back up and have started thinking of adding a larger dog for Rocky needs a friend that can keep up with him. I can share with you that having other dogs around….it really does help. It is wonderful to have a dog or two to remind us to take a break, play, go for walks and just get up and away from our PC’s
